We welcome Florian Fusseis as a new executive editor of Solid Earth, supporting the editorial team in the areas of structural geology and tectonics, paleoseismology, rock physics, and experimental geosciences. Florian is a professor of applied structural geology at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. His current research focuses on the dynamic transport properties of rocks in a variety of settings and applications, mostly studied in operando (4D) µ-tomographic imaging experiments. He has previously worked extensively on shear zones in the ductile crust.

This new policy will allow authors to retrospectively update previous publications with their current names, including conference abstracts, preprints, and peer-reviewed articles.

EGUsphere, the innovative open-access repository created by the European Geosciences Union and Copernicus Publications, is growing.
